The King Island walk is a must do family activity in the Redlands. At low tide the bay waters part exposing the perfect sandy causeway leading to a hidden uninhabited oasis.
Heading off from Wellington Point, this short 2km walk round trip is wonderful. While the kids can search for crustaceans and see wildlife a plenty it also offers a great opportunity to soak up the sun and get sand between your toes. You can even take the family fur baby – but only during the week and make sure your have checked out the tide times, as this is an adventure that is only possible at low tide.
King Island walk at Wellington is a family day out that definitely should be on you “Things to do” list and when your done, make sure you grab ice cream from the café for the trip home.
